School Improvement Team gearing up for a great 2015-2016 school year

The School Improvement Team (SIT) met on July 2, 2015, to discuss concerns and revamp the School Improvement Plan (SIP). When school starts in August, all staff will have the opportunity to offer input about the plan and then we will post the finalized plan on the school website. The 2015-2016 SIT members are:

Principal: Heather Hollingsworth

Lead Teacher: Brenda Wilson

Parents: Mary Hess, Cindy Messer, Melody Sutton, and Myra Watson

Teachers: Laura Abbe, Ashley Caldwell, Anita Carreno, Lisa Cleaveland, Mary Faulk, Tonya Greene, Stacey Hembree, Rachel Jones, Rhonda Rogers, Jon Serenius, and Ruth Sterry.

Teacher Assistant: Tammie Besck

The meeting dates are as follows (all in the media center at 3:15 p.m.): September 21, October 19, November 16, January 25, February 15, March 21, April 18, and May 16.

These meetings are open to the public. If you have a concern that you would like the team to discuss but are unable to attend a meeting, please talk to a team member or call the school and speak to Mrs. Hollingsworth or Mrs. Wilson.

It is our goal to make JVES the very best that it can possibly be, so please let us know your concerns and suggestions. Every decision we make will be based on what is in the best interest of the students. We truly want our school to be a place “Where Everyone Thinks, Believes, and Achieves”!
