Honoring Dads and Veterans at JVES

Tuesday, November 10 was an eventful day at Jonathan Valley Elementary School. We started out with a cafeteria full of Dads (and moms and grandpas and grandmas and friends) at our annual Doughnuts for Dads breakfast. This event was held in conjunction with our fall book fair that is open all this week. Thank you to all the family members and friends that came to eat breakfast with us and shop in our book fair.

In the afternoon Sgt. Joe Frazier, a Retired US Army Veteran, came and spoke to many of our students about his experiences in the military. He brought photos and regaled the students with stories of his encounters as a soldier. Thank you to all our veterans! We appreciate your dedication and sacrifice; freedom truly is not free.
