“Read Across America” Literacy Night at JVES

On Tuesday evening, March 1, Jonathan Valley Elementary School held a Literacy Night event for students and parents. Everybody was invited to eat pizza and go to grade level specific sessions where parents learned literacy based games and activities that they can easily do at home with their students. In celebration of “Read Across America Day” and Dr. Seuss’ birthday, the Cat in the Hat was our guest of honor and many students had their photograph taken with him. We sincerely hope that everyone had a great time and that the night was beneficial to parents and students. As always we encourage everyone to READ, READ, READ!!!!!!!
