Dr. Seuss’ birthday is Friday, March 2. We are planning to honor him and his literary genius all next week. Each day (February 26-March2) we are asking staff and students to do something different to represent one of his books.
Monday, 2/26: Wear a crazy or favorite hat for The Cat in the Hat
Tuesday, 2/27: Wear crazy or mismatched socks for Fox in Socks
Wednesday, 2/28: Wear wacky or backward clothes for Wacky Wednesday
Thursday, 3/1: Wear green for Green Eggs and Ham
Friday, 3/2: Wear a college shirt for Oh, The Places You’ll Go
On Thursday evening, March 1, we will be having our Literacy Night for grades K-3. This will be from 5:30-7:00 pm. More information about this has been sent home with students.
Our literacy event for grades 4 and 5 will happen on April 26 during the school day. We have the author of one of our Battle of the Books titles, Blue, coming to speak to the students in those grade levels. We are very excited that Joyce Hostetter is going to be visiting our school on that day.
