Balsam Trust brings “Fur, Feathers, and Scales” to JVES

On Friday, December 7, Jen Knight with the Balsam Mountain Trust brought an entertaining and educational program to all of our students. Students in PreK-5th grade learned about a variety of animals including snakes, alligators, owls, falcons, and opossums. Jen brought examples of these animals with her and walked around in each of the three small group assemblies and showed the students these animals…up close and in person. Students were attentive and well behaved and asked great questions. Thank you to one of our JVES families for helping offset the cost of this program and thank you to Jen at Balsam Mountain Trust for sharing your knowledge with us.
