Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families:

The following message contains information regarding food delivery and pick up and an update to our Jonathan Valley website with links for food information, Chromebook help, and much more.

Families will be given food for two days tomorrow for children ages 1-18.  Please remember, this will be for the next five Thursdays. This is due to HCS observing Spring Break on the next five Fridays, April 3, April 10, April 17, April 24, and May 1 for our hardworking faculty and staff that are working to provide meals, drive buses, and teach our students virtually.

As you come to the bus to get your food bags, please wait outside the bus, do not board the bus. Food bags will be set on the steps. Please wait until our faculty / staff has moved away to get the bags. This will help everyone maintain the 6 feet of recommended space if at all possible. If you are picking up food in car line our folks will be stretching out as far as possible to maintain 6 feet of space too. This is in an effort to keep our faculty / staff safe and healthy so they able to continue to work, make meals, and deliver meals. It is also an effort to keep you and your families safe and healthy too. Thank you for your understanding.

On the Jonathan Valley website under General Information you will find a section entitled COVID-19 School Closure.  We are frequently adding information related to everything from food pick-up in Haywood County, to phone numbers to call for other food distribution sites in addition to our schools,  to Chromebook help. Please remember if the Chromebook you checked out from the school is not working properly you should submit a ticket to ITC. This information is provided on our website in the COVID-19 School Closure section and a hard copy was sent home with you when the Chromebook was checked out.  Please do not try to repair the Chromebook yourself as it will void the warranty. After you have submitted a ticket, ITC will determine if the Chromebook can be repaired remotely, if not you will need to contact Jonathan Valley to set up a time to return the Chromebook and pick up a new one. Of course you may also call the school with any questions you may have.
