PreK through 4th Grade End of Year Information

Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,

This message contains information about Chromebook and materials collection, Yearbook purchases, Summer Camp, Kindergarten information video, upcoming Kindergarten registration,  Pre-K through 5 end of the year farwell plans.

Chromebook pick up, book turn in, work packet turn in, yearbook pick up will be next week.  Each grade level has planned an end of the year farewell for the following dates and times.  Please save the date  plan to join us to see your teachers for a special send off.  Fifth grade will be May 26th from 11:00-1:00, Pre-K through Kindergarten will be May 27th from 11:00-1:00, 3rd through 4th grade will be May 28th from 11:00-1:00, and 1st and 2nd grade will be May 29th from 11:00-1:00.  Grade level teachers will only be here on their designated dates and times.

There will be multiple stations along the bus parking lot sidewalk.  Chromebooks and chargers will be checked and turned in at Station #1.  Work packets will be turned in at Station #2 .It is not required to turn in completed schoolwork, but if you want to bring it we will have bins for it.  Library books and classroom books will be in turned in at Station #3 by teacher.  Yearbooks may be picked up / purchased if you called and had your name put on the purchase list at Station #4.  Station #5 will be Summer Camp registration.  Grade level teachers will be at Station #6.  We will continue to practice social distancing as reminded by the Central Office.  Cars will pull around as they have during work packet pick up.  We will allow one car at a time to get out, turn in, and pick up items along the station route, and get back in their vehicle.  Then, the next car may pull up and get out.  

We still have about 20 yearbooks available for purchase.  If you did not pre-purchase one, please call the school to get on the list to reserve a yearbook. 

Jonathan Valley will begin Summer Camp on June 8th.  Initially, camp will be limited to 30 students.  Camp will operate 8-4, Monday through Friday.  The cost will be $125 per week, and families attending will pay by the week.  More information, including an application, will be available during the scheduled grade level pick up / drop off days next week.  You may also pick up an application next week by calling our office, Tuesday – Friday, 8-3.  Applications may be turned in beginning Monday, June 1st, 8:00AM -3:00. We will set a Summer Camp  application box outside the front doors at Jonathan Valley the entire week, June 1-5.  We will check the box frequently, and collect applications as they are turned in.  The first 30 turned in will be enrolled.  We will assess any additional applications and the potential to expand.  If you do not get enrolled in the first 30, and expansion is possible, we will contact you based on the order applications were turned in.
