Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families:

This message contains information about teacher letters, 1 on 1 meetings, iPad / Chromebook distribution, and the Universal Lunch and Breakfast Program at JVE.  The information in the message will also be posted on our JVE website.  

Teachers will begin sending letters out this week to let our families know which teacher their student has been assigned.  Please be on the lookout for these important letters.  

Teachers will also be contacting our JVE families beginning the week of August 10th to set up 1 on 1 meetings.  This is especially important as we begin the school year with distance / remote learning.  We would like for our students and families to meet their teacher, check out their iPad / Chromebook, fill out beginning of the year paperwork, and hear other important information from the classroom teacher.  During these 1 on 1 meetings visitors should be prepared to  have a temperature check,  answer a health screening questionnaire,  wear a mask, and social distance.

Second through fifth grade students will receive Chromebooks.  Kindergarten through first grade students will receive iPads.  We are hopeful that our iPads will arrive before our 1 on 1 meet the teacher appointments.  Our instructional technology center for HCS ordered iPads for all HCS schools.  

During the 2020-2021 school year lunch and breakfast will be available at no charge to every student enrolled at JVE.  We are excited to participate in the Universal Lunch and Breakfast Program.
