Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,

As most of you have heard Governor Cooper held a press conference yesterday afternoon to update school reopening options.  Governor Cooper has given school districts the option to open up their K-5 schools under Plan A, full capacity.  Dr. Nolte has sent out a press release, and it is posted on the HCS website.  I’ve also sent the press release through Remind and the email connected to your Blackboard Connect phone call account.  

Principals from all schools have met today to discuss Governor Cooper’s updates.  We are currently in a holding pattern until the School Board meets on Monday evening.  More information and updates will be sent out as soon as it is available.  Depending on the decision of the School Board you may expect a phone call from your child’s teacher beginning Tuesday 9/22.  

If you are not receiving our Remind school-wide messages and would like to be added please call Mrs. Cindy in our office, and we will manually add you to the system.   The best way to receive Remind messages is by downloading the free app on your phone.  You may also login to Remind on a computer too.

All messages are sent out through the Blackboard Connect phone system, this can also be connected to your email depending on your personal account settings.  You can access your settings for this system on our school website under Quick Links by clicking My Connect.  This  same message is sent through Remind, and also posted on our school website.
