Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,
This message contains information about Veteran’s Day, school pictures, and masks on campus.
On Wednesday, November 11th, HCS will recognize Veteran’s Day. We thank our former and current Veterans for their service. There will be no school for students, faculty, or staff.
School pictures for in person students will be on November 12th. A paper copy for ordering was recently sent home soon. There is also information posted on our JVE website, sent through previous Remind messages, and your email address connected to your Blackboard phone call account.
Pictures for our remote only students will be December 1st from 9:00-12:00. Strawbridge will send JVE a sign up link, and our remote only families will be able to schedule a time for your child’s pictures. More information will be sent out at a later date.
Please don’t forget to wear a mask anytime you are out of your vehicle on campus. This is not Jonathan Valley’s rule; it’s one we’ve been given by the NC Department of Health and Human Services. We have been fortunate so far and need to remain vigilant in our 3 W’s…WEAR the mask, WAIT and keep 6 feet of distance between each other when possible, and WASH our hands or use hand sanitizer often. The students are doing an awesome job of wearing their masks and so are most adults. The times we most often see some adults not wearing masks are when picking up children up in the afternoon carline. If you are out of your vehicle, you need to have a mask on. Please help us out and follow the rules…it’s not political, it’s just the rules we’ve been given.
As always give us a call with any questions or concerns.
Thank you, and have a great evening.
