Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,

This message contains information about January 18th, rescheduled make-up and remote learner pictures, potential inclement weather this week, and our upcoming virtual Math Night.

Tomorrow, January 18th, Haywood County Schools will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  

Make-up pictures and remote learner pictures are scheduled for Thursday, February 4th. If your child is a remote only learner, and you would like their picture taken, their teacher will be sending a link with other information to sign up for a picture time.  

Just a reminder from the HCS press release on January 14.  There are a couple days this week with a slight chance of winter weather.  If school is closed for inclement weather January 19-21, these days will be Remote Learning Optional Workdays.  Students will have assignments, but no Google Meets or live instruction.  Assignments must be completed for students to be counted present on Remote Learning Optional Workdays.  

Be on the lookout for a Virtual Math Night flyer that will be sent home with your student next week.  You must sign up in order to participate.  This event, sponsored by Title 1,  will be the evening of February 9th, and it will be limited to the first 150 students that return the sign up sheet.
