Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,

This message has information about PTA, Kids Heart Challenge, April 1st early dismissal, and  the upcoming Panther Party on April 7th, and Kindergarten registration.

JVE would like to welcome our new, incoming, PTA President, Mrs. Ashleigh Brown.  She is excited to get started.  We are in need of some volunteers for our upcoming Panther Party, and new PTA members.  If you are interested just give us a call, and we will pass your information on to our PTA President.  

Coach Owings would like to thank everyone that has participated in the American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge.  We have raised almost $3000.   We need about 37 more students to register.  We will close out all donations on March 30, in order to order the extra awards.  Thank you for participating and learning about how to make your heart healthier and helping to save lives.

April 1st will be a 12:30 dismissal to allow elementary teachers time to work on the mandatory LETRS / Science of Reading training that is scheduled for the rest of this year and the 2022-2023 school year.  

We are excited to have a Panther Party after school on April 7th from 3:15-5:00.  A permission slip with more information was sent home with students last week.  Please be sure to send the permission slip back with your child to their homeroom teacher by April 5th.  For your planning purposes after school childcare is canceled for April 7th.  

Please join us for Kindergarten registration at Jonathan Valley Elementary on Monday, May 2nd, from 8:30-9:30 or May 3rd from 5:00-6:00.  We will meet in the cafeteria.  Please be sure to bring an original or certified birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, and a current copy of your NC driver’s license.
