Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,
This message has information about the End of Grade assessment schedule for the end of the school year, EOG raffle, extra yearbooks for sale, Spring pictures, and 5th grade recognition.
Our Reading and Math End of Grade assessments for 3rd – 5th grade are scheduled for this week. On Tuesday, May 24, our 3rd-5th grade students will take the Reading EOG assessment. On Wednesday, May 25, our 3rd-5th grade students will take the Math EOG assessment. Some students in special settings will also be testing on Thursday and Friday, May 26-27. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest the night before, eats breakfast at home or at school, and arrives at school before the tardy bell rings at 8:10. Tardy students may be required to make up their assessments on a different day, so it is very important students are on time. Some students may be invited to retest on June 3rd and / or June 7thh. Please touch base with your child’s teacher if you have any questions about their testing schedule.
Students in 3rd-5th grade who are on time and present for their EOGs will receive a ticket for each assessment, and be entered into a drawing for some prizes. Prizes include outdoor Bluetooth speakers and outdoor hammocks with straps to set up wherever you’d like. The drawings will be at the end of the school day on Friday, May 27th. Each grade (3rd-5th) will have 4 winners drawn.
Extra yearbooks will be on sale at the front office starting Monday, May 23 on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $15.00, and checks should be made to Jonathan Valley. We ask that you please send the correct change if at all possible. This can be sent to school with students.
The deadline for payments and/or returns of Spring pictures is Tuesday, May 31st. Please send your payment in for Spring pictures or send the pictures back to school. Group pictures should be here soon!
Fifth grade recognition will be Thursday, June 2nd, at 9:00am in the gym. Please plan to join us as we celebrate our fifth graders on their final day of school at Jonathan Valley. This is also the last day of school for all HCS students.
Please be sure to check Remind, your email connected to this phone call account, or our website for copies and links of the information from this phone call.
Enjoy the rest of your afternoon, and give us a call if you have any questions.
