Fire Safety Days

We would like to send a huge “Thank You” to both the Clyde and Maggie Valley Fire Departments for coming to Jonathan Valley and providing our students with fire safety education during the month of October.

On Thursday, October 6, the Clyde Fire Department brought their “Firebusters” team and not only taught all of our students about fire safety, but entertained us as well.

Wednesday, October 12, was a big day for our kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students as they traveled through the “Smokehouse” and climbed into the fire trucks brought to us by the Maggie Valley Fire Department. Smoky the Bear was our special guest at JVES on that day.
