Bridge Week Riddle #1 (Monday, 3/5)

Most of our grade levels are doing some sort of bridge building project this week. There is at least one riddle per day for our students to try to solve. Here is the first one of the week:

Though basic and simple I seem,

Cars zoom across my beam.

I’ll give you a peek…

In the middle of my span I’m weak,

Held up by piers

To help cross streams my dear.

Want me strong? Here’s the rule,

Shorten my span as you learned in school.
