11/22/20
Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Elementary Families,
This message contains information about progress reports, Thanksgiving Break, the White Christmas canned food drive sponsored by Evergreen Packaging, and our Twelve Days of Christmas Spirit Days.
Progress reports will go home for in person students on Monday, November 23rd, for students in grades 1-5. Teachers of remote only students will communicate with families about progress reports.
Students will have school Monday and Tuesday of this week. School will be closed Wednesday through Friday for Thanksgiving Break.
JVE will participate in the White Christmas Canned Food drive. We encourage all of our students if able to participate in the canned food drive as it directly helps our families in need in Haywood County. Students may bring non perishable canned goods November 30 – December 14. Parents may also drop off non-perishable food items at the front of the school, but please add a label stating the grade level, because our grade levels will be teaming up to have a friendly competition to see who can bring in the most goods for this wonderful cause that directly benefits Haywood County. More information will be sent home with your child next week.
With this year being so different for our students, parents, faculty and staff we wanted to do something that would bring a little fun back to school for our students as we close out 2020. We hope your child will join us December 7 – December 22nd as we have a dress up / spirit theme for the twelve days of school leading up to Christmas Break. The themes for each day will be sent home with your child next week, and through Remind, Blackboard email, and are posted on our website too.
