1/25/21 Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,

The following message contains informaiton about the scheduled Remote Learning Optional Workday this Friday and potential inclement weather that could affect the schedule this week. .

Please remember Friday, 1/ 29, is scheduled as a Remote Learning Optional Workday. Remote Learning Optional Wordays mean students will not come to school on Friday. Instead they will have school work to complete at home. The assignments may be paper / pencil and or on the computer. There will be no live instruction. Assignments must be completed for your child to be counted present.

However, there is a chance of frozen precipitation late Wednesday into Thursday morning. If any inclement weather causes schools to close any days this week, they will be Remote Learning Optional Workdays. If school is closed on Thursday because of inclement weather travel conditions, the Remote Learning Optional Workday scheduled for Friday will be moved to Thursday. This would then change Friday to a regular school day, or possibly a two-hour delay or another Remote Learning Optional Workday depending on weather-related travel conditions. It all depends on the weather and the effect on travel conditions and bus routes.

All updates will be sent out through the HCS Blackboard Connect phone system. Jonathan Valley will also send updates out through Remind. If in doubt, please check multiple sources (HCS website, HCS social media, and local media outlets).
