Good Afternoon Jonathan Valley Families,
This message contains information about the “Twelve Days of Christmas” Spirit Week, the White Christmas Canned Food Drive, and Christmas Break.
Our “Twelve Days of Christmas” Spirit Week wraps up this week. Tomorrow, Monday, December 20th is “Deck the Halls” day, so wear your favorite holiday accessories. Tuesday, December 21st is “Polar Express Day”. We will all be comfortable and cozy in our PJs.
Thank you to everyone that contributed to our White Christmas Canned Food Drive. Our students brought in 2,361 canned goods for our friends at Evergreen and their efforts to help needy families in Haywood County.
Christmas Break will be December 22nd through January 4th. January 5th will be the first day back for students, and it will be an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30. Please make sure your child knows how they are getting home.
Just a reminder that all transportation changes should be noted in the agenda book, or if it is during the school day changes should be made by 2:30 with a phone call to the front office. Please do not send transportation changes to your child’s teacher through Remind. Our JVE teachers are with students teaching during the school day. They only check Remind in the morning, during planning, and after school. Also, all student check outs should occur by 2:30. This is a busy time of day, and we want to do our best to get our students where they need to be.
All information in this Sunday phone call is sent through Remind, sent to the email you have connected to this account, and posted on our website.
We hope everyone will enjoy Christmas Break and the New Year with family and friends.
Enjoy the rest of your afternoon, and give us a call if you have any questions.
