My first work experience was on the farm I grew up on! I spent lots of time in the fields (tobacco, hay, and corn)working with my family. I learned the value of hard work, but had some fun along the way. In high school and college, I worked at the old Whitman’s Bakery on main street in Waynesville. I began teaching just after college at JVE! I have also enjoyed working at the Swag for several summers as a waitress.

I have a sweet hubby and three VERY cool kids; Cauley, Ivy, and Jonas. We live on a small farm with cattle, chickens, horses, and a very cute donkey named Colonel Jackson. We have two dogs Fuzzy and Zephie. We also have an overweight cat named Norman.

I love spending time with my family (and extended family) doing pretty much anything outside! We camp, ride horses, and hike. I also enjoy working in my garden and flowers. On rainy days, I enjoy cooking, canning and watching my Atlanta Braves baseball team.
