Personal work experience and past careers:

I started teaching in Vineland, NJ as a first grade teacher in 1998. I met my husband in 1999 who was in the US Army and moved to Fayetteville, NC and taught second grade from 1999-2001. We then moved to St. Louis, MO where I taught 5th grade from 2001-2004. After having our first child, we moved to NJ where I taught 3rd grade for 2 years and then 5th grade for 8 years from 2005-2014. We then decided to move back to NC in 2014. I was hired at Jonathan Valley where I’ve been teaching 5th grade from 2014-present.

Kids/Family/Pets:

We have 4 children… 3 boys and 1 girl. We have a Sophomore at THS, a 7th grader at WMS, and a 4th & 1st grader here at JVE.

Hobbies:

I love cooking and baking, gardening, and listening to live music!
